School of the Arts, Rochester, NY
My high school years were shaped by a passion for music and a commitment to academic excellence. As a cello major in the orchestra, I balanced artistic pursuits with an Honors/AP course load that included Public Speaking, Statistics, and Psychology. My in-school extracurriculars included varsity swim, golf, and cross country teams, along with involvement in Math Club, which instilled a strong sense of discipline and teamwork.
American University, Washington, D.C.
Attracted by the unique opportunities in Washington, D.C., I enrolled at American University to earn a B.A. in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government. The interdisciplinary curriculum provided diverse perspectives, especially through courses on political theory and the study of government organizations, which enriched my understanding of policy-making. An Excel course equipped me with critical skills in data management and budgeting, while the Campaign Management Institute—a two-week intensive covering all aspects of campaign operations, from messaging to fundraising—remains a memorable highlight. Complemented by internships in both the House and Senate and leadership as President of the Ultimate Frisbee team, my academic journey at AU firmly established my commitment to civic engagement.
